THE OWL is most symbolic of a deep connection with wisdom and intuitive knowledge, representing the ability to see through illusion to find truth. There is also an eerie quality to the owl, a sense of ominousness and death, perhaps due to the stealth of its silent flight while descending upon its prey. Even though, in some cultures the owl represents prosperity and good fortune, seen as a bringer of luck and protection.
